Spiders - Eeek!!

So I was looking out into the backyard the other day and the sunlight caught something across the yard. As I looked closer, I realized that it was a HUGE spider! I HATE spiders, but I let this one be since he wasn't in the house. Wow - this thing was gigantic. The pictures don't do the size justice.

I just couldn't post without a few pictures of Sadie. You know, she's getting older now and it's about time that she starts pulling her weight around here. :) Here is Sadie helping us bring the groceries in the other day. She was enjoying helping out and I think she might have really been "pulling her weight" - literally.

I have a lot more pictures of Sadie that I want to post, but she is sitting on my lap right now trying to get into everything on the desk, so I must go for now... I will try to post at naptime or when she goes to bed for the night.

Oh, I love her little tiny legs poking out from that cute dress. What fun photos. I like that she's already working so hard. Put a dust rag in her hand and you've got it made. Unloading groceries and dusting are my least favorite chores. Can't wait for the photos you couldn't post yet. I enjoy seeing all the pics of my blogging friends' kids. Starts my day off with a smile. And the spider-the big ones don't bother me so much because they are usually just orb spiders and they eat yucky bugs and stay outside. It's those creepy brown recluse you have to watch out for!

Oh, man! Those orb weavers are huge! When I worked out at the zoo, I had to work every summer out in the outdoor butterfly exhibit. We had those darn gigantic spiders all over the place every morning. I spent the first hour of every morning knocking down webs and killing spiders (because they were killing our butterflies). So I feel ya. They are really gross... they also *pop* when you step on them. Ha ha.
I love the pictures of Sadie carrying in those groceries. That's the way to do it - teach 'em to do heavy chores when they're young, so they don't mind it as much when they're older. :) Ha ha. I'd better not have kids anytime soon. I'd probably work them to death.
