Our first (and hopefully last) trip to the E.R. happened tonight. Sadie was playing in the family room when she stumbled and fell right into the coffee table. Poor thing. The cut required 2 stitches... She was a trooper, though and only cried when they wrapped her in a blanket like a burrito and taped her to the table - yep taped her down. They had to do that so she wouldn't squirm while they put the stitches in. I must say, though that this was the fastest and most pleasant E.R. trip I've ever had (if an E.R. trip can ever be pleasant).
Here's Sadie after we got home. She didn't even act like it was bothering her. She has added one new sign to her signing vocabulary - she picked up on the sign for hurt/pain pretty quickly.
Sadie loves to use my toothbrush to brush her teeth - it looks JUMBO-sized when she's holding it!
Oh, so sad!! Hopefully this won't happen again. I know, I know, she's a kid. This is probably only the beginning!

Well bless her heart!! ER trips are no fun at all!!! Looks like she did great, though. A lot better than I would do getting stiches!
My poor Sadie - Grammy prays that this will be the only stitches you have to get. I love you bunches!
Aww. Those pictures are so cute. Even when she is unhappy, she is still adorable. Poor Sadie... I bet that really hurt!
oh, my goodness...she looks so sad with that on her sweet little head! they do surprise you how fast they bounce back, don't they? Glad it wasn't a long, crazy ER wait!!

Poor Sadie! Poor mommy and daddy! Probably hurts you more than her. She is very brave.Okay, about the toothbrush - do you use it after she has it in her mouth or do you just have a spare for her?
