This post is for my sister, Marisa, who loved the spaghetti oh's pics, but was tired of seeing them at the top of the blog. Here are some new ones to enjoy!

This messy face is evidence of a smoothie enjoyed!

I only brightened the picture just a little in photoshop and I did NOTHING specifically to her eyes - they look SO blue!

A childhood would not be complete without a few bath times in the kitchen sink!

Spaghetti - OH!!

Ever since we went to K.C. to stay with Noelle's kiddos while she and Geoff were in Paris, Sadie has been wanting to hold the spoon to feed herself. I think she saw Hudson doing it and thought it was pretty cool. The other day I let her have at it and this is what I ended up with - one very messy, but very happy kid! In the end she decided using her hands was much easier.

The last picture is a "do over" from the last post because my mom pointed out that I had legs sticking out of my hair. I tried to fix it the best I could. So, that one's for you, mom - and probably Donna too who was probably the one to point it out! :)

Baby Steps...

Sadie liked it just fine standing on my chair.

It always seems that when Sadie and I take pictures together, the best ones of her are the worst ones of me. So, here it is, me wanting her to look super cute. I give up me looking half-way decent!

Well, we tried once again to take Mersadie to the beach. She did much better this time, even let me take her in the water. She was still not fond of the sand, but she loved jumping the waves with me in the water - as long as I was holding her. That's okay. It will take these baby steps. She has her whole life to learn to love the ocean.

So I have been playing a little in photoshop and these are the photos that I have been able to "edit". Hooray for photo editing software! Now my orange bathtub pictures can actually turn out looking okay! I still have some work to do with trying to brighten pictures that are too dark. Enjoy the pics anyway! Sadie was being a pretty good model yesterday. I guess she wanted to give me a taste of my own medicine because she tried to pick up my camera today and take pictures, but the thing was too heavy for her. She got really frustrated and screamed at it!

Never a Dull Moment

For as sweet as this little face is, Mersadie sure does get into quite a bit around here...

Sadie LOVES her da-da! When she hears the garage door when Brian gets home, all you can hear around here is a high-pitched "da da, da da, da da" until Da da comes through the door. Brian went to youth camp for a couple of days last week and here is what Sadie did while he was away.

She got a balloon from the grocery store and carried it around everywhere! It was so funny because she could hardly get her arms around it and when she did, she couldn't see where she was going - one time she ran right into the cabinet and bounced back and landed on her toosh - it was hilarious!

Sadie has a fascination with turning the lights on and off - the switches are just at her level right here. She's looking to the left to see if they are working.

Here are Sadie's clean clothes ready to be folded. I was folding another load at the time and Sadie got curious. Next thing I know, I see no sign of the basket on the chair. I walked around the bed and this is what I found.

She kind of blends in with everything. She had pulled the basket off the chair and it landed right on top of her. It was FUNNY because she couldn't get it off. Did I help her right away? Nope :) I took some pics!

Sadie tried SO hard to get that basket off of her, but nothing worked. Not even this attempt. I ended up helping her take it off.

"Why are all these clothes on the floor?"

Sadie got a hold of my blush the other day. Although I know that I was already running out, there used to be blush in the bottom left corner. What happened? Oh, Sadie ate it while I wasn't looking.

Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes, but Mexican at Heart

We were at a Mexican restaurant on Sunday and the minute I put Sadie in her high chair, she grabbed the chips and started dipping them in the salsa. (It was not hot) She must have Brian's Hispanic roots deep within her. She was so cute with her little pinky finger in the air... Little Miss Priss!

I wanted to add these cute bath tub shots from the other night. Sadie LOVES the bath!

First Beach Day of the Summer

So it's been a busy summer for us so far and we hadn't taken time to go to the beach until today. I've been waiting for this for weeks - I LOVE the ocean and I was so excited to take Sadie this year beacause I thought she would enjoy it. We got her this cute swim suit with a matching cover-up and she completely looked the part of California girl and when we arrived at the ocean, she was all smiles - squeals of delight and all. There was only one problem. This happy baby you see.....

....wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with getting down and putting her feet in the sand!

Look at that face and those curled toes - she's not gonna do it! In fact....

This is precisely what she thinks of putting her little toes in the sand. No words needed. The face tells the story.

Sadie was very content on the beach towel, in the shade, munching on some teddy grahams and sipping some water.

Here is our family picture from the day. Sadie is not too excited because she thought we were going to try and put her down in the sand again.

Happy as can be in Daddy's arms, high above the sand and water.

Looks like we weren't the only ones who wanted a relaxing Saturday at the beach!
