Mersadie's Newly Painted Room

When my mom was visiting a few weeks ago, we painted Sadie's room. Here are the before and after pictures. I love the way it turned out. Color makes such a difference! I would still like to stencil some pink flowers on the brown wall, but just haven't found what I want yet. That will probably take me another 10 months (like the 10 months it took to get her room painted).

My mom came to visit last week and we did sooo much! These pictures are from our day at the San Diego Zoo - we had such a good time - the weather was great and Mersadie did well. I thought she would be a little more excited to see the animals, but I guess she is a bit young for all of this. She did like it when the gorilla starting moving around, though and she liked to look at the panda bear. I will post more pictures from the zoo later. My mom also helped me paint Sadie's room. It looks beautiful although I still need to stencil the flowers on the walls. I just can't find the right stencil. I will post pictures of that later, too because Sadie just woke up! 10 Months Old and "In to" Everything!!

Sadie really got "in to" her first taste of spaghetti - I'd say she loved it.

One of Sadie's favorite things to do is get "into" her drawer and pull everything out one by one. I used to fold everything and put it back in, but now I just stuff all the clothes back in because I know she'll just pull them right back out next time!

Sadie got "in to" the dish washer last night. My mom is here visiting and she said, "you're really going to let her go ahead and climb up there, aren't you?" I said, "Yep, it's a great photo op!" So, here little Mersadie is helping us with the dishes!

A Day at the Park

Brian and I took Sadie to the park on Monday and she went down the slide for the first time. I'm not too sure what she thought about it. We don't think she's quite ready for the slide, but she did like swinging with Daddy. Enjoy your Thursday!!

Finally...first Easter Pics

Well, here they are - Mersadie's first Easter pictures. We had 19 college students from BBC in town with us for the 10 days leading up to Easter, so I didn't have any time to post, but better late than never, right? I didn't get any pictures of Sadie and her Easter basket because I raided it the day before. I (eh-hm, the Easter bunny) bought her a cute short and shirt outfit with flip-flops for her Easter basket, but I just couldn't wait for Sadie to wear it. The day before Easter we had a carnival at our church and the weather was soooo nice I just had to have her wear it. Enjoy the pictures! Mersadie was in such a good mood we got a lot with her smiling - yeah!!

Emily (on the left) and Tiffany (on the right) stayed with us this past week - Sadie just couldn't get enough of them. We had a ton of fun and Sadie really misses them. The house is so quiet now!!

Miss Mersadie Mischief

Thanks, G.G., for the beautiful dress - It finally fits! I will print some of these pictures and send them to you! Sadie wore this to church last Sunday and if you can believe it, these pictures were taken after church which means we got through with a sparkling white dress - no stains!!

How can this beautiful little princess cause any mischief, you ask? Well...just look at the pictures below. They tell the truth behind that innocent, precious face. We love her more than life anyway, though!!

Sadie got into the Kleenex the other night and tore it to shreds. When I pulled the camera out, this is the first shot I got! Look at that smile. Tell me she doesn't know what she's doing!

Okay, the other night when Brian was out of town, I needed to take a shower before going somewhere and I put Sadie on the floor in my bathroom with some toys. I left the shower door open so that I could keep an eye on her. Apparently the shower looked more interesting than the toys because Sadie proceeded to crawl right over and into the shower. She only got halfway in but her hair an shirt got wet! Here she is right after the incident. I think she is thinking "uhhh, did I do something wrong?".

One night while on the phone with my mom, I said (and I quote) "one day very soon I am going to walk in to get Sadie up for the morning and she is going to be standing there looking at me". Well, THE VERY NEXT MORNING, here is what I found when I heard that Sadie was awake. Two little eyeballs peering over the edge of the bed looking right at me! That night Brian and I lowered Mersadie's mattress so that if she stood up, she wouldn't be able to lean over the edge of the bed.
