Teeth, Rolling Over, & Santa Ana's, Oh My!

If you look really close, you can see one of Sadie's teeth on the bottom. She has 2, but she is covering one of them with her tongue. I've been trying for a month to snap a picture of her teeth and this is the best I got! I'll keep trying. Sadie has also been busy learning how to roll from her tummy to her back. This is her second attempt...

Now she's completely on her side and got a little "sprinkler dance" action going on...
And she made it! It was a very exciting time in the Moore house!

Now about the Santa Ana's. Well there is this phenomenon here in Southern California called "the Santa Ana's" (winds that is). First, the winds come in off the ocean and somehow turn around near the city of Santa Ana and come back toward the ocean. That is what is fueling all of the horrible wild fires right now as well as knocking over some trees like the one that has been uprooted in our yard. Brian and I don't quite know what to do, so we are going to wait for the gardeners to come on Friday. If they don't do anything about it, I guess we'll try to figure things out.

My Little Pumpkin & Halloween Preview

My mom came to visit this weekend and we took Sadie to the pumpkin patch for the first time!! We got a couple of good pics, but she was too interested in everything else going on around her...

Fish out of water...We got Sadie's costume in the mail the other day and I just couldn't resist putting it on her and snapping a few pictures. She didn't quite know what to think. We tried to take her to Picture People this weekend to get some good pics of her in the costume, but she didn't want anything to do with it. We'll have to try another day.

We're having Fun!

Well, we spent another day at the beach on Friday. It was so relaxing that Sadie took her nap while we were lounging in the chair listening to the ocean waves. I hope that you all don't get tired of the beach pics...I just can't resist taking them!
Here is Mommy and Sadie in their sunglasses - I can't believe that she actually wears these things! I guess she knows when she looks good!

This is Sadie wearing her headband that Auntie Peaches made for her! I think she's saying "I'm so cute I know you wanna kiss me!". (Sorry, Sis, I know we had a talk about the headband thing, but we just couldn't say no any longer - but they are not the super-tight ones that leave marks on her head).

Okay, so I put the Sade-ster down on the floor to play the other day while I was doing some stuff on the computer and I looked over and this is what I found...Sadie had turned herself sideways and was stuck between the legs of her toy! She's going to be mobile before we know it - better get a start on that baby-proofing the house thing.

Pretty Princess

Grammy bought this dress for Sadie when she was visiting last week - she said she just couldn't resist. Sadie wore it to church yesterday - and she loved it. When I put her in the swing at church, the dress wouldn't stuff down in the seat, it just went straight up. Both Sadie and I thought it was very funny.
Somehow I get the biggest smiles when she's wearing something that says "Daddy's Little Princess" or "I love Daddy". I don't get quite the same reaction when she's wearing "Mommy's Little Girl" - hmmm.
Peaches bought Sadie this ball hat that says "Peaches Little League" on it - she was happy to be wearing it and looking so cute!

1st Angels Game

A couple of Sundays ago, our church went to the Angels game and we took little Sadie, of course. She slept through most of the game, but woke up for the 7th inning stretch - good thing because that means that I didn't waste time when I was singing "Take me to the Ball Game" to her in the weeks before we took her to the game. We had a good time and the Angels won!!!

Grammy's Visit

Grammy came from Kansas City for a long weekend visit. We had so much fun! Sadie really started discovering her voice and it was a lot of fun to watch her interact with her Grammy. We all got to experience our first earthquakes (yes - that is plural) this weekend. The
first one was while we were in church on Sunday and the second was this morning - Brian, Sadie and I slept through it, but Grammy felt it - it was only 4 miles from Yorba Linda. I guess now that we're a California family it's old hat! We had a great weekend with Grammy and wish she could always be here!
