Miss Mersadie Mischief

Thanks, G.G., for the beautiful dress - It finally fits! I will print some of these pictures and send them to you! Sadie wore this to church last Sunday and if you can believe it, these pictures were taken after church which means we got through with a sparkling white dress - no stains!!

How can this beautiful little princess cause any mischief, you ask? Well...just look at the pictures below. They tell the truth behind that innocent, precious face. We love her more than life anyway, though!!

Sadie got into the Kleenex the other night and tore it to shreds. When I pulled the camera out, this is the first shot I got! Look at that smile. Tell me she doesn't know what she's doing!

Okay, the other night when Brian was out of town, I needed to take a shower before going somewhere and I put Sadie on the floor in my bathroom with some toys. I left the shower door open so that I could keep an eye on her. Apparently the shower looked more interesting than the toys because Sadie proceeded to crawl right over and into the shower. She only got halfway in but her hair an shirt got wet! Here she is right after the incident. I think she is thinking "uhhh, did I do something wrong?".

One night while on the phone with my mom, I said (and I quote) "one day very soon I am going to walk in to get Sadie up for the morning and she is going to be standing there looking at me". Well, THE VERY NEXT MORNING, here is what I found when I heard that Sadie was awake. Two little eyeballs peering over the edge of the bed looking right at me! That night Brian and I lowered Mersadie's mattress so that if she stood up, she wouldn't be able to lean over the edge of the bed.

Remember at Christmas when you gave Sadie all those 12 month summer clothes and we thought they looked so big? Well, here is your little Sadie in her "big" clothes. She wouldn't put the lotion bottle down for me to get a good picture and when I took it away, she wanted to crawl after it, but anyway, here are some pictures of Sadie - thank you for all the warm weather clothes - they are really coming in handy!

Sadie's first playdate! She was enjoying Hudson's toys and Hudson was having fun with hers. I don't think they ever really played together.

Kayli made a spot on the couch and wanted Sadie to sit with her. Kayli even got a blanket for Sadie so that she would be warm and cozy. Here they are reading a book together.

Brian and I found Sadie napping in the hotel room with the blanket over her head - she was exhausted! The blanket was promptly removed from her face once the picture was snapped.

On our way home. Sadie got her own seat for the first flight - she felt like a big girl!

A week and a half ago we got to go "home" to visit our friends that feel so much like family in Owasso. Brian and I had a wonderful time hanging out with our wonderful church family that we were so blessed to have spent our first 5 years in ministry with. Here are a few pictures of our time there. My mom was able to come down for the weekend too! We just couldn't stand the thought of being only 3 1/2 driving hours away from each other and not see one another since it usually takes a 3 1/2 hour plane flight to see each other!

Sadie has been sitting up for a while now, so it's been nice to be able to set her down with some toys and play. Most of the time she just eats the toys and I play with them. I didn't even realize she was paying attention to me until this...here is my little genius (hee hee) figuring out how to put the ball into the opening of this toy. She was so proud of herself and Brian and I were there to say "yeah" in that high-pitched squeally kind of way (okay, maybe it was just me that was so high pitched) and clap our hands. Sadie is just doing too many things too quickly.

Sadie has also learned to stand while holding on to something. She L-O-V-E-S doing this. She feels like such a big girl. I opened the blinds in our office and let her peek through the window.


"Aww, she got hurt," you say? Nope. Just fell down and was so mad that she wasn't standing anymore. So...up she went and was a happy camper again!


Mersadie can also roll her tongue - don't know where this came from, probably her dad.
Okay, so she's not doing anything spectacular in this picture, but I love it because it's my Sadie Bug the little Lady Bug! 9 Months Old Today!!!

Time to move the cleaning supplies!

This post is for you, Sis. No more pictures of Brian and Shannon at Regis and Kelly. I know this blog is titled "Along Came Sadie", so here are pictures of your little Sade-ster!

I sat Mersadie down in the kitchen the other day so I could do something really quickly. She hasn't ever been interested in the cabinets...until now. She finally figured out how to open the cabinets. We really need to child-proof soon and I need to move my cleaning supplies because, of course the cabinets she loves to open are the ones with all of the things that can hurt her. Here are some pictures I snapped while she was still intrigued by just opening and closing the cabinets and not caring what was inside.

This is definitely the look of "what? Am I not supposed to do this?"

" Okay, Mom, I will close it and find something else to do." - Yeah right!

I told Brian the other day that Sadie can do whatever she wants to do as she grows up (play sports or do the cheerleading/gymnastic thing) but I really want her to stay "girlie". Well, this picture says it all, I think. Here is Sadie with one of her very favorite toys and she is all dressed up!! Time will only tell if it stays that way!
