Daddy and Me

Mersadie started this new thing when Brian is holding her at night and I come around, she just cracks up! Of course I took advantage of it and got the camera. She was making us laugh so hard by all her squeals and laughing. I love it when she smiles and shows all of her teeth!

A Rainy Day in "Sunny" Southern California

Okay, so not every day can be a perfectly sunny 75 degree day. Today was one of those not so perfect days. Mersadie and I went to storytime at the library this morning and then she took and nap and we were going to go on a walk after lunch...but it started raining. So I got out the camera!

This is Mersadie right when she wakes up from her nap - one happy baby! By the way, she is not pulling up yet, I stood her up and had her hold on to the bed rail.

I was eating lunch and Sadie started fussing, so I gave her a french fry. She just let it hang out of her mouth for the longest time - it was so funny!

She finally got the hang of it and learned to shove it in!

One day she will love to play basketball like her daddy. We are trying to teach her young, but all she wants to do is eat the tag!

My sister got Sadie a "jump & go" for Christmas. Sadie loves it! Here is a picture of her "hangin' out" and a video of her using it. This one's for you, Sis! Thank you and love you!

By the way, Sadie is feeling a little better - the humidifier is working, I think. Thanks for all of the advice - yes, I have been holding her, A LOT!

Sad-Faced Sadie

"Mom - gosh, why do you always have to have that stupid camera in my face?"

"If only Grammy were here, she would make you stop taking pictures and pick me up!"

"I need you to come and rescue me, Grammy!"

I was trying to take some cute pictures of Sadie this afternoon, so I sat her down on the floor and this is what I got. Poor little booger hasn't been feeling well this week and completely melts down most of the time I put her down. Anyway, I thought these pictures actually turned out kinda cute.

By the way, I am taking any remedies for a clogged nose that anyone has. I am trying the cool mist humidifier tonight and I've been giving her saline drops in her nose. She H-A-T-E-S the blue nose-suction device. It takes both Brian and I to hold down our 17 pound baby for me to suction her nose. I feel so bad because she can't breathe when she eats...

Here are some random pictures of Sadie. The black and white close up is a picture that my sister's friend took and then edited it in photoshop. I was feeling adventurous and decided to give photoshop a try and I edited the one where Mersadie is reaching for the Christmas bulb. The third picture is for you, Sis! My sister absolutely loves this photo because she says that Sadie was "posing" for me! In the last picture, Sadie is showing off her - count them - FOUR teeth and I think more are on their way (she had a fever and runny nose yesterday). Enjoy!

Our Pretty, Pretty Princess is 7 months old!

I've been playing with my new camera and I LOVE it! Mersadie has been a very compliant subject lately and I am so very glad. I hope you enjoy these cute photos as much as I do!

Mersadie's 1st Chirstmas!

Sadie's first Christmas was sooo much fun - complete with a visit from Santa himself! We got to go to K.C. to be with my family and to my surprise Sadie actually kind of got in to opening the gifts, although she just wanted to eat the paper and bows after she got them off. Sadie got so much stuff that we have to ship it back to California, while the things we got for Christmas fit into our suitcases! We now see who is first priority to the grandparents. I got a new camera for Christmas, so there will be more fun picutres coming shortly. Enjoy the slideshow!
